The player can take on side missions called Drug Wars, similar to Lost and the Damned's Gang Wars content. In Ballad, the protagonist is Luis, a bodyguard to a nightclub owner and ex-gangster. The Ballad of Gay Tony is a lighter and more colorful take on the drab yellow and brown visuals of GTA 4, making it somewhat reminiscent of GTA Vice City.
